THE MORNING AFTER THE NIGHT BEFORE

THE PAIN KILLERS THAT THE Dr GAVE ME WERE VERY GOOD, I TOOK TWO LAST NIGHT AND THEY KNOCKED ME OUT UNTIL 11.00 THIS MORNING. I WAS IN THE SAME AMOUNT OF PAIN AS SOON AS THEY WORE OFF. IS THIS NORMAL TO BE IN THIS AMOUNT OF PAIN? AS SOON AS I START MOVING OR BREATHING HEAVY IT HURTS (OH NO MY SECRETS OUT YES I AM A HEAVY BREATHER).

Hi Steve,

On the two occasions I had a biopsy I was in pain for about 8 hours post the biopsy and had some soreness the following day. Unsurprisingly I was weight training 2 days post biopsy.

If you continue to have pains then I would get in touch with Gill.

Hi Steve,
You should be out of pain within 48 hours. If not go back to the hospital - it could be internal bleeding.
I have had five biopsies, which varied from 'barely noticeable' to horror movie stuff. The last two have been ultrasound guided, and were definately the best. I think it is all down to the skill of the man driving the needle. There is no excuse for missing the spot when it is ultrasound guided. I have had a 'diaphragm' miss and it was no fun. Especially when they had to start again one rib up.
If anybody wants blood out of me I take the forms and walk to the normal blood test department. They are doing it all day every day, and do it right every time.
